Trinidad Pest Control Limited was incorporated in Trinidad & Tobago in 1964. Its principal offices are at 91 Cascade Road, Cascade, Trinidad. Some of the earliest applications of pest treatment in Trinidad & Tobago were developed by TPC’s founder Richard D. Jeary in the early 1960’s. Specialized chemical and pesticide treatments were applied through customized application methods for the first time to combat the tropical characteristic of a variety of agricultural, stored product and structural (wood destroying) pests. The company is largely seen as one of the pioneering contributors of modern tropical pest management in this country.
Trinidad Pest Control is an accredited member of the National Pest Management Association in the United States, and through its membership, is regularly updated on scientific advances in the industry. TPC has a history of co-operation with government departments and educational organizations.
In recent years TPC’s management has embraced the industry’s accepted concept that pest control should be perceived as an integrated system. Rather than reactive treatments and excessive reliance on chemical agents, we now draw on the inter-related areas of inventory management, housekeeping, logistics, biological factors, and, very importantly, human behaviour; all toward the objective of making environments unsuitable for the successful habitation of pests.
